My husband Oscar was working on his shed when he heard a faint noise a few weeks ago, He could not figure out where it was coming from, so he went back to what he was doing but then the sound persisted. Once again, he stopped and followed the sound, a faint little “pewing” sound that was unfamiliar to him.
Finally, he found the culprit, it was a tiny little kitten that had been abandoned by its mother or its owner. The kitten was about 5-6 weeks old, full of worms and fleas. It makes me think of how we may sound to The Lord when we first begin calling out to him when we have a crisis in our lives. Do our cries sound like that to Him?
Can He hear our cries and understand what we need, even when we do not? He takes us and cleans us up, heals us of our brokenness and sets us in the midst of others to be a family. “So then you are no longer strangers and aliens,[d] but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.” Eph. 2:19
