Meeting the needs of the community one family at a time. We long to see every woman reach her potential through our mentor program as well.
I was having a conversation with a friend yesterday, we wondered when it became a badge of shame to live in a multigenerational home?
If all parties are contributing to the expenses to keep a home running, maybe the older generation is helping the other with childcare so the parents can bring in income so they can thrive.
What if the grandparents need assistance to make it financially or need help with rides or with medication or maybe they are lonely, what happened to families caring for each other? Should we shame them for not being able to live successfully on their meager fixed wages because they invested their “fortunes” in their children?
We were never meant to be solitary, to be so independent that we don’t have time to care for one another. A child needs love from the entire family and please remember while you’re caring for each other, children are learning what they live.
